The "Last Nice Day of 2008"?

Above: architecturally, one of my favorite homes in Clintonville
I kept hearing over and over again from different people that yesterday was the "last nice day of 2008"... so with the impending dark clouds of the rest of the year quickly approaching and with a little extra free time after walkthing through construction at Terracs on Walhalla, I took a drive (yes, I should have really walked it) through Walhalla Ravine and snapped a few photos (one above and below). So, if you missed it, apparently all you have to look forward to now is gloom and doom until 2009...

Snapshot: 199 S Fifth Street

I just happened to be out yesterday in the early morning to take a photo of a new condo listing downtown, when I happened to go past, architecturally, one of my favorite buildings, 199 S 5th Street. Luckily, I was able to take a photo without all of the construction vehicles that are commonly out front. If you are not familiar with 199 S Fifth Street, it is an (underexposed, in my opinion) condo development with spacious floor plans, huge terraces, concrete floors and iPod docks in the walls. The rooftop has spectacular views and offers penthouses with floor to ceiling windows. I haven't seen the inside recently, I need to take a trip back and see the progress, it is definitely worth the trip. Prices on units range from $272,500 (for a 1000 sqft 1 bedroom 1.5 bath on the 3rd floor) to $750,000 (for a 2119 sqft 3 bedroom 3 bath on the 5th floor).

Snap shot:

Spring is here and nowhere is it more obvious than in the German Village Area. The street are lined with blooming trees and yards are bursting with color.
