For the past several years, I have been involved in the making of the Schumacher Place Home & Garden Tour Book. This year, my work schedule was crazy so I was running way behind on getting everything done by the deadline. Up until the day before I was to turn the book in, I still did not have an image for the Tour Book cover or the poster. I ended up just taking my camera out to the front yard and eventually in my neighbors yard taking photos of her cone flowers and happened to catch a bee in action doing what bees do. The next morning I ended up with what is now the cover and the poster. After I thought about, it seemed particularly fitting that a bee would be on the cover as bees are a symbol for hardworking, community, teamwork and being social which fits the Schumacher Place neighborhood very well.
